high school building in Prince Frederick, Calvert County,
and to that end to authorize and empower the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County to borrow upon the faith and
credit of said County an amount not to exceed Fifty-five
thousand dollars ($55, 000. 00), and to issue and sell coupon
bonds therefor under certain conditions, and to authorize
and empower the County Commissioners of Calvert County
to levy upon all the assessable property within the corpo-
rate limits of said County such taxes as may be necessary
for the payment of the bonds hereby authorized to be issued
as the same become due and payable and also for the pay-
ment of the interest thereon as it becomes due, specifying,
however, that said bonds shall not be issued except tinder
certain contingencies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be
and it is hereby authorized and empowered to design, con-
struct and equip a public high school building in Prince Fred-
erick, Calvert County, Maryland, and to purchase or other-
wise provide a site for said building. The construction of said
public high school building shall be undertaken through the
agency of, and under the control and supervision of, the Board
of Education of Calvert County, acting in conjunction with a
building committee hereby formed. Said building committee
shall consist of Arthur W. Donell, Elizabeth Ann Wilson, Mrs.
Joseph O. Lore, John M. Rector, William P. Norfolk, Robert
S. Mead and Morgan Bowen, and said Committee shall func-
tion in a general advisory capacity to the Board of Education
of Calvert County in supervising the construction and equip-
ment of said public high school building. And in addition to
its advisory capacity, said Committee shall have final author-
ity in the approving or disapproving of any architectural or
other plans prepared for the construction of said building.
Said Committee shall also have the power and authority to
supervise all expenditures of the funds available for the con-
struction of said public high school building, and no such
expenditures shall be contracted for or made by the Board of
Education of Calvert County without the final approval of
said Building Committee.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That in order to provide
in part the necessary funds for the construction and equip-
ment of said public high school building, the County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County is hereby authorized and empowered
to borrow on the faith and credit of Calvert County a sum of
money not to exceed Fifty-five thousand dollars ($55, 000. 00)
and to issue and sell coupon bonds therefor on the faith and
