1. The establishment of a new elementary school in the
area east of Wisconsin Avenue and north of the East-West
Highway. First unit and acquisition of land not to exceed—
$60,000.00.
2. Addition of a new unit of approximately five (5) school
rooms to the Parkside School, not to exceed $40,000.00.
3. The balance of said proceeds to be used upon the recom-
mendation of the Board of Education and the approval of the
Board of County Commissioners in the following projects:
(a) Additional school rooms and grading of grounds, Alta
Vista School.
(b) Grading of grounds and fencing at East Silver Spring
School.
(c) Completion of unfinished classrooms, acquisition and
grading of adjacent land to Glenmont School.
(d) Aquisition and treatment of additional land to the
Gaithersburg School.
(e) Acquisition of additional land and construction of ad-
ditional classrooms to the Poolesville School.
(f) Addition of three (3) classrooms to the Damascus
School.
(g) Additional schoolrooms to the Sherwood School (Sandy
Spring).
(h) Acquisition of additional ground and grading, Wood-
side School.
(i) Furniture and equipment for all schools.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That in all contracts for
any of the construction work to be performed with the funds
authorized to be borrowed pursuant to the provisions of this
Act, the Board of Education of Montgomery County shall,
whenever practicable, insert a clause in each of such con-
tracts for the employment by the contractor and sub-con-
tractors, either individual or corporate, of skilled and un-
skilled labor made available by the Montgomery County Re-
employment Bureau, said clause to be in such language and
to contain such terms, conditions and exceptions as the Board
of Education of Montgomery County shall deem advisable, and,
in addition, shall contain the provision that said contractor
or sub-contractor shall not be obliged to employ labor sup-
plied by the Montgomery County Reemployment Bureau in
the event that the said Bureau shall be unable to supply the
type of skilled labor or the number of unskilled laborers de-
sired by such contractor or sub-contractors, and said clause
shall further provide that said contractor or sub-contractors
shall have the right to discharge or discontinue the employ-
ment of any of such skilled or unskilled labor so supplied in
the event that he or they shall be dissatisfied with the same.
