receive the license applied for, or has made a material false
statement in his application, or has practiced fraud in con-
nection with said application, or that the operation of the
business, if the license is granted, will unduly disturb the
peace of the residents of the neighborhood in which the place
of business is to be located, or that there are other reasons,
in the discretion of the Board, why the license should not be
issued, then the application shall be disapproved and the li-
cense applied for shall be refused. If no such findings are
made by the Board, then the application shall be approved
and the said Board shall issue its certificate of approval for
presentation to the Clerk of the Court of the County in which
the place of business is to be located, and the said Clerk shall
issue the license applied for upon presentation of said cer-
tificate, and the payment of the fee required.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 469.
(House Bill 542)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Mont-
gomery County", sub-title "County Commissioners and
Treasurer", to be known as Section 198A, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 198 of said Article and to require Mont-
gomery County Employees who handle County funds to fur-
nish bond.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and it hereby is added to Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners and Treasurer", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 198A, to follow immediately after Section 198 of said
Article and to read as follows:

198A. All employees of Montgomery County who handle
funds of the County, any part or subdivision thereof, or any
agency operating therein, are hereby required to be bonded
either individually or in group or groups to the Board of
County Commissioners of Montgomery County, in such penal-
