on the first day of July in the year 1931; and in the event
that the ^said holder or holders of the outstanding bonds do not
desire to accept new bonds in like denominations and amounts
in lieu of the outstanding bonds so held by them, or any of
them, then in said event the said Town Commissioners of La
Plata shall be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to sell bonds issued under authority of this Act, to the
best advantage, at public sale, at such time and upon such
notice as they may deem expedient, to the extent of the amount
of bonds so held and not exchanged; provided, however, that
they shall not sell any of the bonds authorized to be issued
under this Act upon any terms other than cash.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1931.

CHAPTER 373.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Maryland-National Park
and Planning Commission to formulate and enact a building
code for the regulation of the erection, alteration and repair
of buildings within the Metropolitan District of Prince
George's County, as the same is defined by the Act creating;
said Commission and any amendments thereto, and to give
such code the force and effect of law when enacted, and to re-
quire a permit for the erection, alteration and repair of any
building within said Metropolitan District within Prince-
George's County, and to provide for the appointment of a.
building inspector.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission is hereby authorized and directed to*
formulate rules and regulations for the erection, repair and
alteration of buildings of every: kind and description within
the territory over which it has jurisdiction within Prince'
George's County, generally known as the "Metropolitan Dis-
trict, " as the same is defined in the Act creating said Commis-
sion, and any and all amendments thereto, such rules and
regulations, when formulated and adopted by said Commission,,
