provisions of Article 33A of the Public General Laws of
Maryland; to authorize- the Commission to sell or dispose of
land held by it under this Act when deemed by the Com-
mission not to be needed for park purposes or other pur-
poses of this Act; to repeal inconsistent laws and ordi-
nances; to provide that no part of Chapter 448 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1927, as amended
by Chapter 286 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1929, and by this Act shall be construed to be
repealed by the provisions of Chapter 702 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1927; and to declare
this Act an emergency law and make it effective from the
date of its passage.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 6, 8, 9 and 10 of Chapter 448 of the
Laws of Maryland of 1927, as said Act was amended by
Chapter 286 of the Laws of Maryland of 1929, be and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and a
new section to be known as Section 1A is hereby added to said-
Act, said new section and the sections hereby repealed and
re-enacted to read as follows:
1A. That the areas in Montgomery County described in
Paragraphs A and B of this section respectively be and the
same are hereby added to the Maryland-Washington Metro-
politan District:
A. Beginning at a point near the intersection of the Nor*
beck-Norwood and Norbeek-Layhill Roads, said point being
300 feet north from and at right angles to the center line of
the Norbeck-Layhill Road and 300 feet northwesterly from
and at right angles to the center line of the Norbeck-Norwood
Road, and running thence northeasterly parallel to and at a
distance of 300 feet north from the center line of said Nor-
beck-Norwood Road to a point 300 feet easterly from the
center line of the Olney-Norwood-Beltsville Road; thence
southeasterly parallel to and at a distance of 300 feet north-
east from the center line of said Olney-Norwood-Beltsville
Road to the Montgomery County-Prince George's County
boundary line; thence southwesterly along said County bound-
ary line; to the original boundary line of the Maryland-Wash-
ington Metropolitan District; thence northwesterly along said
boundary line of said District to the point of beginning.
