perform their employment only during the pleasure of said
Board, and shall as employees have such duties and authority
as may from time to time be imposed or conferred upon them,,
or any of them, by said Board. The salaries, compensations
and necessary expenses of said superintendent and of all per-
sons employed by him as aforesaid shall be payable as now
provided by law for the payment of the salaries and expenses
of the warden and the employees of the Maryland Penitentiary.

SEC. 3 Be it further enacted, That the Board of Welfare
shall have such further powers with respect to the new institu-
tion and the inmates who may from time to time be trans-
ferred thereto as are now conferred upon the Board by law
for the government and management of the Maryland Peni-
tentiary and the Maryland House of Correction, and for the
employment and government of the prisoners who may from
time to time be confined therein.

SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That the provisions of Chap-
ter 408 of the Laws of Maryland of 1924 having reference to
pensions of employees of the Maryland House of Correction
and the Maryland Penitentiary shall be equally applicable to
the employees of the new institution.

CHAPTER 367.

AN ACT to add seven new sections to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition;
of 1924, title "Crimes and Punishments, " said new sections,
to be placed under a new sub-title reading "Maryland Train-
ing School for Colored Girls, " to follow immediately after
Section 660, and to be. known as Sections 660A/660B,.
660C, 660D, 660E, 660F and 66OG of said Article, provid-
ing for the establishment of the Maryland Training School
for Colored Girls as a reformatory institution of the State
of Maryland for the care and training of colored female
minors, and for the control and maintenance of said institu-
tion; authorizing the acquisition of a suitable site, and the
erection of necessary buildings, and requiring the levying of
a per capita charge upon the respective counties of the State
