SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 99 of Article 24 of Flack's Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so
as to read as follows:
99. Constables in the said counties shall be entitled to the
fees prescribed by law for the particular services rendered by
them under the preceding section; and the said justices shall
be entitled to charge for their respective services in criminal
cases the following fees: For issuing each State writ, forty
cents; for each summons for witnesses, including all the wit-
nesses applied for at the same time, forty cents; for each trial,,
one dollar; for each commitment, twenty-five cents; for each
release, twenty-five cents; for each search warrant, one dollar;
for taking recognizances in each case reported to the court,
fifty cents; for taking recognizances of witnesses each, fifty
cents; for holding an inquest upon a deceased person, five dol-
lars; and for each attachment for contempt, twenty-five cents.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 351.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, of Maryland (1930 and 1927 Editions),,
title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Police Commissioner, "
sub-heading "'Special Fund, " said new section to be known
as Section 777EE and to follow immediately after Section
777E of said Article, providing for including stenographers,
machinists, laborers and certain other employees in the
Police Department within the provisions of Section 777 of
said Article relating to pensions.
