CHAPTER 344.
AN ACT to add seventeen new sections to Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Anne Arundel County, " said new sections to. be known
as Sections 268A to 268Q, inclusive, under sub-title "In-
stallation of Electrical Apparatus and Wiring, " and to fol-
low immediately after Section^ 268 of said Article, to pro-
vide for the examination and licensing of all resident elec-
tricians of Anne Arundel County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland^ That seventeen new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " said new
sections to be known as Sections 268A to 268Q, inclusive,
under sub-title "Installation of Electrical Apparatus and Wir-
ing, " to follow immediately after Section 268 of said Article,
and all to read as follows:
Installation of Electrical Apparatus and Wiring.
268A. The Governor shall, within thirty (30) days after
the passage of this Act, appoint a board which shall be known
as the Board of Examiners and Supervisors, consisting of three
(3) persons, for the purpose of examining into the qualifica-
tions and capabilities of all persons who are engaged or desire
to engage in the business of Master Electrician as defined in
this Act. The board so appointed shall consist of two compe-
tent practical electricians of Anne Arundel County and the
"Chief of the Annapolis Fire Department. Should any vacancy
occur from any cause during the term of any board as herein
provided, the Governor shall appoint some one to fill such
vacancy. The Governor shall have full power to remove any
member of the board for incompetency or improper conduct
upon satisfactory evidence being presented to him of such con-
dition.
268B. The members of said board shall respectively take
and subscribe the oath required by other State officers. They
shall have power to elect out of their number, a President,
Secretary and Treasurer, and to adopt such rules and by-laws
for the transaction of business of the Board as they may deem
'expedient.
