missioners of Chestertown, shall, in their office in said town,
open all bids received and award the said bonds to the highest
bidder, providing no bid less than par shall be accepted, re-
serving, however, unto themselves, the right to reject any and
all bids and to re-advertise, as hereinbefore prescribed, for
additional bids.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Commissioners
of Chestertown shall in each and every year levy upon the
assessable property in said town such sums of money as may
be necessary, if any, to pay the interest on said bonds as said
interest shall become due, and also to levy such sums in addi-
tion thereto, if any, as may be required to redeem said bonds
as the same mature from time to time until all said bonds
shall have been paid off.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds of the
sale of the said bonds, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
shall be paid by the Commissioners of Chestertown in liquida-
tion of the outstanding indebtedness of the Commissioners of
Chestertown or of certain public spirited citizens of said town
who have caused to be made, and guaranteed the payment
thereof, of certain public improvements in Chestertown, and
for the permanent paving of Cross Street between Maple Ave-
nue and High Street, as follows:

(a)   To pay for the paving of Maple Avenue in said town,,
an indebtedness created in 1924, which indebtedness is now
due to and owing to the banks herein enumerated and which
payments shall be made to said banks, as follows:

To The People's Bank of Chestertown, the sum of two

thousand dollars ($2, 000. 00);
To The Third National Bank of Chestertown, the sum of

two thousand dollars ($2, 000. 00);
To The Kent County Savings Bank of Chestertown, the

sum of two thousand dollars ($2, 000. 00);
To The Chestertown Bank of Maryland, Chestertown,.

Maryland, the sum of two thousand dollars ($2, 000. 00);

(b)   To pay for the paving of Queen Street, in said town,,
an indebtedness created in 1928, which indebtedness is now
due to and owing the bank herein enumerated and which pay-
ment shall be made to said bank, as follows:

To The Chestertown Bank of Maryland, Chestertown,.
Maryland, the sum of four thousand dollars ($4, 000. 00)*
