of Maryland, title "Oysters, " sub-title "Tonging, " as the same
was enacted by Chapter 733 of the Acts of 1910, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
7. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons who have
obtained a license to take or catch oysters in the waters of the
Patuxent River above or north of a straight line drawn from
Sotterley Wharf, in St. Mary's County, through St. Leonard's
Beacon to the shore line in Calvert County, with any imple-
ment or device other than ordinary rakes and tongs with wooden
shafts, to be used entirely by hand, and without any ropes or
hoisting gear whatever. Any person or persons violating any
one of the provisions of this section shall be liable to the penal-
ties prescribed in Section 5 for taking oysters with rakes and
tongs without license; nothing in this section shall affect
offenses committed in whole or in part before June 1, 1931T
nor pending prosecution for past offenses.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 294.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections-
1, 2, 9, 11 and 15 of Article 11 of the Annotated Code of
the Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924,
entitled "Banks and Trust Companies, " sub-title "Bank
Commissioner"; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 20 of said Article, sub-title "Banks"; to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments Section 25 of said Article, sub-
title "Banks, " as the said section was repealed and re-en-
acted by Chapter 273 of the Acts of Assembly of 1929; to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 26 and 27
of said last named Article and sub-title; to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Sections 32, 35 and 41 of said
Article, sub-title "Savings Institutions"; to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Section 42 of said Article, sub-title
"Trust Companies, " as the said section was repealed and
re-enacted by Chapter 359 of the Acts of Assembly of 1929;
