authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County to require the removal of obstructions to clear
vision at highway intersections in said county, " be and the
said Act is hereby repealed and re-enacted, to read as follows:

1. That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to require the
owner or owners of any property located at a corner of any
highway or street intersection, or at the intersection of any side
street or side road with any county or state highway in said
county, to remove therefrom all trees, bushes, vines, fences, or
other obstructions which in any manner obstruct the vision of
the operators of vehicles approaching any such intersection.
Any owner of property failing to remove any such obstruction
within ten days after notice to do so has been given in writing by
the County Commissioners, shall be subject to a fine of ten dol-
lars upon conviction in the Circuit Court for Montgomery
County or in the Police Court for Montgomery County, the said
penalty to be collected as other fines and penalties are collected.
Provided, however, that the County Commissioners, in their
discretion, shall have the authority and power, after due notice,
to have the trees, bushes, vines, fences or other obstruction re-
moved and charge the cost of such removal to the owner or
owners, of the property, and such cost or charges shall become
a lien on said property and may be collected in the same man-
ner as are State and county taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

of Article 32A of the Annotated Code of the Public General
Laws of Maryland (Edition of 1924), entitled "Department
of Law," authorizing the appointment of a Deputy Attorney
General, a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State
Roads Commission, two Assistant Attorneys General, and a
Special Attorney for the State Accident Fund, regulating
the compensation, powers and duties of such appointees/and
