To the Maryland Tercentenary Commission, for the estab-
lishment of suitable memorials commemorating the founding
of the province of Maryland, $35, 000, all from the issue of
August 15, 1932; such expenditure to be subject to the ap-
proval of the Board of Public Works.
To the Board of Public Works, for the erection in Baltimore
City of a suitable monument to Brigadier-General Casimir
Pulaski, $15, 000, in conjunction with similar appropriation
from Baltimore City and additional funds to be raised by
popular subscription, said sum of $15, 000 to be from the issue
of August 15, 1932.
To the Board of Public Works, for the installation of equip-
ment for the protection of State institutions and buildings,
including the State House, against fire, $110, 000, all from the
issue of August 15, 1932.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That all contracts for
the above purposes shall be subject to the approval of the Board
of Public Works, and where appropriations are made to an
institution or department for two or more purposes, the order
in which the same are to be begun shall likewise be subject to
the approval of the Board of Public Works. In case any bal-
ance remains to the credit of any of the above named institu-
tions or departments after the completion of any of the pur-
poses specified, then such institutions or departments may ex-
pend such balance upon any building, construction or equip-
ment purpose which may be approved by the Board of Public
Works.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of the several counties of the State and the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore are hereby respectively di-
rected to levy the State taxes for the year 1932 at twenty-five
one-hundredths (25/100) of one cent on each one hundred
dollars ($100) of assessable property; for the year 1933 at
eighty-five one-hundredths (85/100) of one cent on each one
hundred dollars ($100) of assessable property; for the year
1934 at ninety-seven one-hundredths (. 97/100) of one cent on
each one hundred dollars ($100) of assessable property; and
for the year 1935 and annually thereafter to and including
the year 1947, at one and ninety-nine one-hundredths (1. 99)
of one cent on each one hundred dollars ($100) of assessable
property, to be collected according to law, to meet the interest
on the amount of said certificates outstanding, and also to meet
