Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Banks and Trust
Companies, " sub-title "General Regulations, " be and it is here-
by repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 222.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 72 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Oysters, "
sub-title "Patuxent—Potomac—Choptank, " said new sec-
tions to be* known as Sections 61A, 61B and 610 and to
follow immediately after Section 61 of said Article, relat-
ing to the catching or taking of oysters in the Choptank
River and its tributaries.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Oysters, " sub-title "Patuxent — Potomac-—
Choptank, " said new sections to be known as Sections 61 A,
61B and 61C, to follow immediately after Section 61 of said
Article, and to read as follows:
61 A. Until November 1, 1933, it shall be unlawful for any
person to use tong shafts of a greater length than twenty-seven
feet in catching or taking of oysters in the Choptank River and
its tributaries or to use dredges of a greater weight than sev-
enty pounds in catching or taking oysters in the Choptank
River.
61B. Until November 1, 1933, it shall be unlawful for any
person to catch or take oysters with scoop, scrape or dredge in
the waters of the Choptank River north and east of a line drawn
from the Upper Bar Neck Beacon on Tilghman's Island and
the northernmost point of Castlehaven in Dorchester County.
61C. Any person violating the provisions of Section 61A
or 6IB shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than
