by any candidate, or other citizens, for circulation prior ti the
election, and any other ballot used in the election other than
the aforesaid official ballot prepared by the Register, and sup-
plied by the election officials to the voters, shall be null and
void, and shall not be counted. Persons desiring to vote shall
make an "X" mark after the name or names of the persons on
said ballot for whom they desire to vote, and in no event shall
a voter vote for more than one candidate for Burgess, and not
more than three candidates for Commissioner in the year 1932,
and each second year thereafter, and not more than two candi-
dates for Commissioner in the year 1933, and each second year
thereafter.

Elections shall be held annually on the first Monday of April,,
between the hours of one and seven o'clock p. m. In the year
1932 there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the town
a Burgess, who shall hold office for a period of one year, and
three Commissioners, who shall hold office for a period of two
years, and two Commissioners who shall hold office for a period
of one year. In the year 1933 there shall be elected by the
qualified voters of the town a Burgess, who shall hold office
. for one year, and two Commissioners, who shall hold office for
a period of two years, and on each succeeding second year a
Burgess and two Commissioners shall be elected. In the year
1934 there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the town
a Burgess, who shall hold office for a period of one year, and
three Commissioners, who shall hold office for two years, and
on each succeeding second year a Burgess and three Commis-
sioners shall be elected. The Burgess and Commissioners so
nominated and elected shall be qualified voters of said town as
herein defined, and the Burgess shall receive. the sum of fifty
dollars ($50. 00) per year, and each of said five Commissioners
shall receive the sum of thirty-five dollars ($35. 00) per year,
as compensation for their respective services, to be paid out of
the funds of said municipal corporation, and all of said offi-
cials shall take office on the Monday following the time of the
election, by qualifying as prescribed in Section 355 of this
Article.

In addition to the compensation herein provided for, the
Burgess and Commissioners individually shall be permitted to
perform labor for the corporation, and they also shall be reim-
bursed for expenditures of money, such as traveling expenses,
etc., for and in behalf of the business of the corporation, which
said bills for labor and expenses shall be passed upon as other
bills presented to the corporation.
