CHAPTER 183.

AN ACT to amend the Charter of The Maryland Christian
Endeavor Union, Incorporated, a body corporate, duly incor-
porated under Articles of Incorporation, dated the 14th day
of July, 1924, and recorded among the Charter Records of
Baltimore City in Liber S. C. L. 'No. 99, folio 48, etc., by
repealing Section 6 thereof and by inserting and adding six
sections to be known as Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, re-
lating to meetings, elections, etc, of said corporation, and
conferring additional powers upon said corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Charter of The Maryland Christian En-
deavor Union, Incorporated, as recorded among the Charter
Records of Baltimore City in Liber S. C. L. No. 99, folio
48, etc., and dated July 14, 1924, be and the same is hereby
amended by repealing Section 6 of the Certificate of Incorpo-
ration recorded as aforesaid, and by inserting and adding there-
to the six following sections, to be known as Sections 6, 7, 8, 9,
10 and 11, to read as follows:

6.     The property and affairs of the Corporation shall be
managed by an Executive Committee which shall be from time
to time selected from among the members of the Corporation,
the number and tenure of office of which and the manner of
selection of which shall be as from time to time provided by
the by-laws of the Corporation. A quorum for the transaction
of business of the Executive Committee shall be such number
of members thereof as shall "from time to time be fixed by the
by-laws, provided that such number shall not be less than seven
members. The Board of Directors of the Corporation as now
constituted shall continue to act until an Executive Committee
shall be selected in the manner to be provided by the by-laws,
and until such time shall exercise all of the rights and powers
of the Executive Committee.

7.      The Corporation shall have such officers as may be
from time to time provided by the by-laws, the tenure of office
of which and the manner of selection of which shall be as from
time to time provided by the by-laws.

8.     Any society of Christian Endeavor within the State of
Maryland may affiliate with the Corporation on its application
approved by the Executive Committee of the Corporation.
