eries, " sub-title "Tidal Waters, " be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
27. On and after November 1, 1931, it shall not be lawful
for any person, at any time, to fish with a purse net or buck
net in any of the waters of the State of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts of parts
of Acts, general or local, inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect November 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 176.
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County, " sub-title "County Tax Collector, " to be known
as Section 119C, authorizing any corporation, town or city
in Allegany County, when in its opinion the public good
and general welfare so requires, to accept from persons, firms
or corporations engaged in any business or industry and
usually employing more than fifty persons, a note or other
obligation secured by a confessed judgment in lieu of and
in the place of the present and immediate payment of town
or of city taxes due and assessed against such a person, firm
or corporation, and providing the method for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new section be, and the same is hereby
added to Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-title
'County Tax Collector, " to be known as Section 119C and to-
read as follows:
119C. The Mayor and Council or the Commissioners or
other governing body of any incorporated city or town located
in Allegany County are hereby authorized and empowered
