"Schools, " said new section to be known as Section 870A? to
follow immediately after Section 870 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

870A. The members of the Board of Education of Mont-
gomery County shall each receive annually the sum of three
hundred dollars ($300. 00) for traveling and other expenses
incident to attending the meetings and transacting the busi-
ness of the Board within the county, the said sums to be put
in the School Budget and to be levied by the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and
they are hereby repealed to* the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
. effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 173.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1927 and 1930 Editions),
title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Sheriff, " said new section
to be known as Section 383, providing for payments to
sheriff for self or deputies attending certain Courts in Balti-
more City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1927
. and 1930 Editions), title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Sheriff, "
said new section to be known as Section 383, and to read as
follows:

383. The Sheriff of Baltimore City shall be allowed six
dollars per day for every day he shall attend, either in person
or by deputy, in the Criminal Court, in Criminal Court No. 2,
or in any other court sitting as Criminal Court, the said sum
or sums to be paid at the end of each month out of the money
