as Sections 238A to 23 8F, inclusive, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 238 of said Article, authorizing and
directing the Governor of this State to designate one of the
Justices of the Peace appointed in and for the Sixth Elec-
tion District of Cecil County as a Police Justice, and de-
fining the duties and fixing the compensation of such Police
Justice.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland\ That six new sections be and they are hereby' added
to Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland -
(1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " sub-title "Justices of
the Peace and Constables, " sub-heading "Police Justice, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 238A to 238F, inclusive,
to follow immediately after Section 238 of said Article, and
all to read as follows:

238A. The Governor of the State be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to designate one of the Justices of the
Peace appointed in and for the Sixth Election District of Cecil
County as a Police Justice, and who shall be a resident of said
Sixth Election District, and who before he shall act as such
shall give bond to the State of Maryland in the penalty of one
thousand dollars ($1, 000. 00), with surety or sureties to be
approved by the County Commissioners, conditioned that he
will well and faithfully perform and execute the duties and
obligations of Justice of the Peace, and that he will account
for and pay over to the County Commissioners, all fines, pen-
alties, forfeitures and costs imposed by him and which he shall
receive for or on account of criminal offenses tried before him
under the provisions of the Public General Laws of Maryland,
Public Local Laws of Maryland and the ordinances of the Town
of Rising Sun, which bond shall be recorded in the office of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and shall be liable at the suit
of the State for the use of the County Commissioners of Cecil
County in case of default in any of its provisions.

238B. The said Police Justice shall have an office in the
Town of Rising Sun in said District, where he shall attend
from time to time as the business of his office may require.

238C. Said Police Justice shall have the same jurisdiction
in criminal cases as Justices of the Peace now possess and
which may hereafter be conferred upon them by and under the
