sand dollars ($100, 000. 00), and to expend the proceeds
therefrom for any. or all of the following purposes, to wit:
(1) For the construction of county roads in said county; (2)
For the reconstruction of county roads in said County; (3)
For the repair of county roads in said county; and to levy
on the assessable property of Frederick County such taxes
as may be necessary for the payment of said bonds hereby
authorized to be issued and the interest thereon as it be-
comes due.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners for Frederick
County are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow money
on the faith and credit of said Frederick County and to issue
and sell serial coupon bonds therefor in the amount of one
hundred thousand dollars ($100, 000. 00), in denominations of
one thousand dollars ($1, 000. 00) each and to bear interest at
the rate of four and one-half per centum per annum; and to
expend the proceeds therefrom for the construction of county
roads in said county and/or for the reconstruction of county
roads in said county and/or for the repair of county roads in
said county; said bonds shall be dated as of the first day of
April, 1931, and mature serially in the amount of ten thousand
dollars ($10, 000. 00) on October first in each and every year
thereafter, and the interest thereon shall be payable semi-annu-
ally on the first days of April and October in each and every
year until said bonds are paid; said bonds, when issued, shall be
signed by the President of the said County Commissioners for
Frederick County and shall be countersigned by the Clerk to
said County Commissioners; and the seal of said County Com-
missioners for Frederick County shall be affixed to each bond.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said bonds shall be
issued in series to mature as follows:

October 1st, 1932, $10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1933, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1934, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1935, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1936,. 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1937, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1938, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1939, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1940, 10, 000. 00
October 1st, 1941, 10, 000. 00
