SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1931.

CHAPTER 149.
AN ACT to amend the charter of The Rockville Cemetery Asso-
ciation of Montgomery County, Maryland, a corporation duly
organized under the general laws of this State, and to enlarge
its powers.
WHEREAS, The Rockville Cemetery Association of Montgomery
County, Maryland, has been duly incorporated under the general
laws of the State of Maryland, authorizing the formation of asso-
ciations for forming, laying out and maintaining cemeteries, ac-
cording to the certificate of incorporation approved and recorded
among the Corporation Records in Liber E. B. P. No. 1, folio
38, etc., in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Mont-
gomery County; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the directors of said Corporation
that its powers be increased and enlarged.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of The Rockville Cemetery Association
of Montgomery County, Maryland, a corporation duly formed
under the provisions of the Code of Public General Laws of this
State, title "Corporations, '' be and the same is hereby amended
as follows:
SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That The Rockville Cemetery Association of Montgomery
County, Maryland, in addition to the powers vested in it under
its certificate of incorporation, which are hereby ratified and con-
firmed, shall have the further rights and privileges.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said Corpora-
tion be and the same is hereby empowered and authorized to
acquire by condemnation, land adjoining its cemetery for ceme-
tery purposes and for none other, not exceeding one hundred
acres, including the land now owned by said Corporation, pro-
vided said Corporation cannot agree with the owner or owners
of the land, or if such owner or owners, or any of them, be under
age or non compos mentis, or under any legal disability, or ab-
