SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Garrett County
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay to the
Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department the sum of four hun-
dred dollars ($400. 00) for the purchase of equipment in the
year 1931, and to levy the aforesaid sum upon the assessable
property of said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 146.
AN ACT to provide for the revision and codification of the
ordinances of the Mayor and Common Council of West-
minster, a municipal corporation, and authorizing the Mayor
and Common Council of Westminster, a municipal corpora-
tion, to pass an ordinance, after the codification and revi-
sion of said ordinances, adopting, legalizing and declaring
the same to be the ordinances of the Mayor and Common
Council of Westminster, in lieu of all others dealing with
the same subject matter, and making the printed copy there-
of admissible in evidence in any and all proceedings.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Common Council of West-
minster, a municipal corporation of the State of Maryland, be
and it is hereby authorized to have revised and codified its
ordinances, and when so revised and codified to, by ordinance,
approve, adopt and declare such ordinances so revised and
codified to be the ordinances of the Mayor and Common Coun-
cil of Westminster, in lieu of, and as a substitute for, all ordi-
nances of said municipality in force at the time of the passage
of such ordinance dealing with or relating to the same subject
matter.
