County Commissioners of Allegany County affixed thereto,
and to have written or printed on them a distinct reference to
the Act directing the issue of the same and to be designated as
"Allegany County Roads Bonds, Issue of 1931, " and the
said bonds when issued and all interest thereon shall be exempt
from State, county and municipal taxation in Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said County
Commissioners of Allegany County are hereby empowered and
authorized to issue the said bonds and sell the same at such
time or times and in such amounts as it may deem advisable
to meet the payments incurred by the State Roads Commission
of Maryland in connection with the construction, reconstruc-
tion and improvement of said road of a minimum improved
width of eighteen (18) feet, leading from, Cumberland to the
Potomac River opposite Paw Paw, West Virginia. The said
bonds shall all be dated on such date as the said County Com-
missioners shall determine, and shall be issued in series ac-
cording to their maturity, each series to be designated by a
different letter, beginning with the letter "A, " and the bonds
of each series to be numbered consecutively beginning with the
number "1. " Bonds shall be issued so as to mature as follows:
$100, 000 par value to mature one year after date
100, 000 par value to mature two years after date
100, 000 par value to mature three years after date
100, 000 par value to mature four years after date
100, 000 par value to mature five years after date
100, 000 par value to mature six years after date
100, 000 par value to mature seven years after date
100, 000 par value to mature eight years after date

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That in order to provide
for the sale of said bonds to be issued under the provisions of
this Act, the said County Commissioners of Allegany County,
or a majority of them, are hereby directed to advertise once
a week three successive weeks before the bonds or any part
thereof shall be issued, in such newspapers or magazines as
may be determined by the said County Commissioners of Alle-
gany County, that the said County Commissioners of Allegany
County will be in readiness at a certain time within fifteen
days after the expiration of said notice to receive sealed bids
at such place as may be named in said advertisement, for
bonds issued under the provisions of this Act, under such regu-
