within five days, exclusive of Sundays and legal holidays, from
the action of the officials by which he is aggrieved, which ap-
peal shall be, by way of petition for review, addressed to said
court and naming as defendants the Registration Officials and
the party whose name the petitioner desires to have stricken
from the books, if it be such a case, and said court shall as
soon as possible set said case for hearing and notify the de-
fendants and require the presence at such hearing of the Regis-
tration Officials aforesaid, and if the determination of said
court upon such question is different from the determination
thereof made by the Registration Officials, it shall direct such
officials to correct their records in accordance with its order,
which said Registration Officials shall forthwith do.

Any person desiring to have his name placed upon the
official ballot at the time of election for Mayor or Councilman,
shall at least fifteen days prior to the election file with the
Supervisors of Election, a petition setting forth his name,
residence, age, the length of time he has lived in the town, the
office which he seeks, a reference to the title of the real estate
in assessed value of five hundred dollars ($500. 00) claimed
to be owned, and such petition shall be signed by at least ten
qualified voters and in case of a candidate for Councilman the
voters signing the said petition shall reside within the limits
of the ward for which he is a candidate.

A certificate in the following form shall be sufficient:
To the Supervisors of Election of Chestertown, Maryland.

I hereby request that you print my name on the official ballot

in the town election to be held.....................as a

candidate for............and I do hereby certify that my

name is............................; I am......years

old; I am a resident of the............ward; and have lived

in the town for.........years; and I am the owner of real

estate in said town in my own name to the amount of $500. 00

as per deed recorded in Liber....... 'No......., folio......,

one of the Land Records of Kent County, Maryland.

We, the undersigned, qualified electors request the candidacy

of
