qualifications as hereinafter provided. The councilmen so
elected from the first and third wards shall serve until the
first day of April, 1933, or until their successors are elected
and qualified and the councilmen so elected from the second
and fourth wards shall serve until the first day of April, 1935,
or until their successors are elected and qualified.
The qualified voters of Chestertown shall on the third Mon-
day of March, 1933, and on the same day in every second
year thereafter, elect by ballot one person to be Mayor of said
town, and all said voters shall on the third Monday of March,,
1933, and on the same day in every second year thereafter elect
two persons to be members of the council of said town, to suc-
ceed the members of the council whose term expires on April
first following.
REGISTRATION AND ELECTION.
91. On or before the fifth day of June, 1931, and on or
before the first day of February, 1933, and every alternate
year thereafter, the Mayor and Council shall appoint two
qualified voters of said town, not holding any other office there-
under, as Supervisors of Election, who shall also act as Regis-
tration and Election Officials. One of said Supervisors shall
be designated Register of Voters and Judge of Election and
the other designated Clerk of Registration and Clerk of Elec-
tion at the time of their appointment, for any election during
the year succeeding their appointment. In case of a vacancy
occurring in the office of the Supervisors of Election, the
Mayor and Council shall appoint a qualified person to fill said
vacancy. The Supervisors of Election shall receive three
dollars ($3. 00) each, for each and every day they may be
required to serve as Judge of Election and as Registration
Officials.
The said Supervisors of Election shall sit on the last Mon-
day in June, 1931, and the first Monday in July, 1931; and
on the last Monday in February, 1933, and the first Monday
in March, 1933, and on the same day in February and March
every two years thereafter between the hours of 1 P. M. and
9 P. M. at the Court House in Chestertown or some easily
accessible place in said town, to be designated by the Super-
visors of Election, for the purpose of registering the voters of
said town.
The said Supervisors of Election shall be furnished by the
Mayor and Council with a well bound registration book, which
