WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of Calvert County
have heretofore acquired a small parcel of land for the pur-
pose of re-locating and improving one of the county roads in
said county; and
WHEREAS, All of the land so acquired is not needed for such
road nor for any other public purpose; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County
be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sell for
such a price as they may determine and convey the parcel of
land in the Third Election District of Calvert County, Mary-
land, adjoining the lands of the heirs of Thomas M or eland,
lying on the east side of the Southern Maryland Boulevard,
containing three-fourths of an acre, more or less, being all of
the land recently acquired by said County Commissioners
from Clinton H. Trott, except the right of way for the thirty-
foot (30 ft. ) road across said property as the same now exists.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 87.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
143 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (Edition of 1930), title "Howard County, " sub-
title "Ellicott City, " so as to relieve the Commissioners of
Ellicott City of the duty of lighting the avenues, streets,
lanes and alleys of said Ellicott City, and imposing that
duty on the County Commissioners of Howard County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 143 of Article 14 of the Code of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland (Edition of 1930), title
"Howard County, " sub-title "Ellicott City, " be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
