material requirements of the people of the City of Annapolis,
and shall have full charge of the development, maintenance
and operations of the plant as a municipal property, and shall
have the authority to turn off the water of all delinquents in
the payment of their water rents. Provided, however, that the
salaries of the members of the said Board of Directors, respec-
tively, and of its employees, shall not be increased over the
salaries mentioned herein without the express authority of the
Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis.
And provided, further, that no expenditure of money in excess
of two thousand dollars, may be made by the said Water Com-
pany without the approval of the Mayor, Counselor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis being first had and obtained.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and
they are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 535.
AN ACT to repeal Section 228A of Article 56 of the 1929
Supplement to the Annotated Code of the Public General
Laws of Maryland, entitled "Licenses, " sub-title "Garages, "
and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 228 of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of the Public General
Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924, entitled "Licenses, "
sub-title "Garages, " relating to license fees, providing for
the exemption of certain space required to be kept open by
law or official regulation and to include open-air garages
within the provisions of said section.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 228A of Article 56 of the 1929 Sup-
plement to the Annotated Code of the Public General Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Licenses, " sub-title "Garages, " be and the
same is hereby repealed.
