CHAPTER 533.

AN ACT to exempt for a period of four years the Washington,
Brandywine and Point Look Out Railroad Company from
the State gross receipts tax.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Washington, Brandywine and Point Look
Out Railroad Company shall be exempt for a period of four
years from the State gross receipts tax.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 534.

A 1ST ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 89
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title
"Annapolis Water Company Charter, " to extend the powers
of said company to hold real and personal property; provide
for the management of said company by a board of direc-
tors and make other changes in said charter; place the con-
trol and management of the Annapolis Water Company
directly in the Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the said
city, and providing for a Water Board, the board to be
composed of the Mayor, a- Counselor and four Aldermen of
aforesaid city; provide for the appointment of a secretary
and additional duties of the City Treasurer, and for the
holding of real and personal property by said board and the
powers of said board, and such other duties as pertains to the
management of the Annapolis Water Company, and to make
other changes in the Charter thereof, and to repeal any laws
inconsistent therewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 89 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title "Annapolis Water Company Charter, " be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
