Flack, to provide for the appointment by the Board of Coun-
ty Commissioners of Montgomery County of a Supervisor
of School Property, to hold office at the pleasure of the
board, to provide for the appointment by the Supervisor of
School Property of drivers of school buses and vehicles of
transportation of public school pupils, to give him super-
vision over the construction, maintenance and operation of
school buildings, and to provide for the appointment, super-
vision and removal by him of janitors of all school buildings.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 1, 2 and 6 of Chapter 537 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1922, being
Sections 870, 871 and 875 of Article 16, Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Montgomery County, " sub-title "Schools, " edited by Horace E. Flack, be and the said sections are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

1.     The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery
County shall appoint a supervisor of school property, who shall
hold office subject to the will of the Board of County Commis-
sioners and shall discharge the duties of his office with the
general supervision of the Superintendent of Education for
Montgomery County.

2.    The supervisor of school property shall have supervision
of the construction, maintenance and operation of all school
buildings and of the transportation of pupils at public expense
in accordance with the provisions of Article 77 of the Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Public Education, " as enacted by Chapter 506 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1916, and subsequent
re-enactments thereof, and he shall select, appoint and exercise
supervision over and remove the drivers or operators of all
school buses or vehicles used for the transportation of pupils
in the public schools of Montgomery County.

6. The supervisor of school property shall select, appoint,
supervise and remove all janitors of school buildings in Mont-
gomery County and shall prescribe their duties in relation
thereto.
