to be used on any taxicab, and to reject any application when
it appears that an effort is being made to mislead the public
by imitating any name, design or the distinctive combination
of colors of any taxicabs already approved.
3 6IF. The provisions of this sub-title relating to taxicabs
are intended to be supplementary to, and not in substitution
for, existing laws relating to the operation and licensing of
motor vehicles. Nothing herein shall be construed to limit the
power and authority of incorporated cities and towns to adopt
reasonable traffic regulations, including the designation of taxi-
cab stands, and the power to limit or prohibit cruising along
public streets or highways, where such cruising may menace the
public safety or unduly congest traffic.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1? 1931.

CHAPTER 486.
AN ACT to repeal Section 53 and Section 55 of Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dor-
chester County, " sub-title "Cambridge, " as enacted by Chap-
ter 694 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
1912, and to re-enact said sections, with amendments, two
new sections to be designated as Sections 55A and 55B of
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Dorchester County, " sub-title "Cambridge, " and to
repeal Sections 59, 60, 60A, 60B, 60C, 60D, 60E, 60F.
60G, 60H, 60-1, 60J and 60K of said Article and to enact
in place of and in substitution for said sections so repealed,
new matter, to be designated as Section 59 and 60 of Article
10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "Cambridge. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 53 and Section 55 of Article 10 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchester
County, " sub-title "Cambridge, " as enacted by Chapter 694
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1912, be
