four weeks preceding the first Monday in June in each year in
which an election for town commissioner is to be held, as pre-
scribed by Section 301 of this Article, at a place to be designated
by the said President and Commissioners of Princess Anne, be-
tween the hours of eight A. M. and six P. M. and on said day
the said registration officer shall proceed to register all persons
qualified and entitled to vote at the election for town commis-
sioner, who may make application therefor in the manner set
forth in the preceding Section 301A, and on said Monday, four
weeks preceding each said election, the registration officer shall
also list for erasure the names of all persons appearing on said
registration book known to said registration officer to be dead,
or who have ceased to reside within the corporate limits of said
town of Princess Anne or who are suspected for any reason of
not being entitled to registration, and he shall also place upon
said list the name of any person whose right to registration may
be challenged by any person, provided said challenger makes
oath before said registration officer that he believes such person
so challenged does not possess the qualifications for voting at
said town election prescribed by Section 301 of this Article;
said registration officer shall thereupon on said Monday, mail
to each of such suspected persons, addressed at Princess Anne,
Maryland, a notice to the effect that his or her right to regis-
tration has been challenged and notifying such person to ap-
pear before said officer on Monday, three weeks before said first
Monday in June, on which an election is held, between the hours
of eight A. M. and six P. M., to show cause why his or her name
shall not be stricken from said register; said registration officer
shall sit again on said Monday three weeks before said first
Monday in June, between the hours of eight A. M. and six P. M.
for the purpose of revising said register, but no new names shall
be added on said revision day and the said registration officer
shall have full power and authority to strike from said register
the name of any person whose name was placed upon the afore-
said suspected list, if satisfied that such suspect is not a quali-
fied voter as in this Act provided, but any person feeling ag-
grieved by the action of said registration officer, either in regis-
tering or refusing to register any person, or in striking any
name from said registration book, may appeal within five days
after said revision day to the Circuit Court for Somerset County,
which said appeal shall be heard within ten days after it is
entered and said Court shall have power to order said regis-
tration officer to enter or restore the name of any applicant who
has been denied registration or to strike from said register the
name of any person not entitled to registration, and the action
of said Circuit Court for said Somerset County on such appeals
shall be final.
