8. The said corporation shall be capable of holding and ac-
quiring real and personal property not exceeding in value fifty
thousand dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 444.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County, "
sub-title '' Princess Anne, '' sub-paragraph '' "Water, '7 said new7
sections to be known as Sections 336A, 336B and 336C and to
follow immediately after Section 336 of said Article, to au-
thorize the President and Commissioners of Princess Anne,
in Somerset County, Maryland, a municipal corporation, to
borrow on the promissory note of said municipal corporation
sums of money not exceeding five thousand dollars to pay the
costs of improvements, repairs and extensions to the system
of water1 supply and distribution and to the sewerage system.
in said town, and to provide for a referendum thereon.
WHEREAS, The President and Commissioners of Princess Anne
own and operate a system for the supply and distribution of
water in the town of Princess Anne, and also maintain a sys-
tem of underground pipe lines for the drainage and sewerage
disposal in said town; and
WHEREAS, From time to time emergencies arise requiring re-
pairs, extensions or improvements to said water supply, sewer-
age and drainage systems, to an amount beyond the resources of
the current revenue of the said town; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Somerset County, " sub-title "Princess Anne, ""
sub-paragraph "Water, " said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 336A, 336B and 336C, to follow immediately after Section
336 of said Article and all to read as follows:
336A. The President and Commissioners of Princess Anne be
