"Jurisdiction, " said new section to be known as Section
367A and to follow immediately after Section 367 of said
Article, to make "uniform the civil jurisdiction of justices
of the peace for Allegany County by increasing said civil
jurisdiction to three hundred dollars and to repeal all laws
inconsistent therewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Justices
of the Peace, " sub-heading "Jurisdiction, " said new section to
be known as Section 367A, to follow immediately after Section
367 of said Article, and to read as follows:

367A. In all suits instituted on and after June 1, 1931,
the civil jurisdiction of all justices of the peace, now or here-
after appointed for Allegany County, Maryland, shall be the
same as is now or may hereafter be provided in Article 52 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, except as to amount, which
shall be up to and including three hundred dollars,

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That all that part of
Article 52, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and all other
Acts or parts of Acts, in so far as the same apply to Allegany
County, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and
the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1931.

CHAPTER 65.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 456
and paragraph (28) of Section 466 of Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Montgomery County, " sub-title "Glen Echo, " relating
to the qualifications of the Mayor and members of the Coun-
cil and conferring additional powers upon the council.
