HARRY W. NICE, GOVERNOR. 859

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Somerset County, " sub-title "Cris-
field, " said new section to be known as Section 71A and
to follow immediately after Section 71 of said Article, and
to read as follows:

71A. No deed, conveying real estate or chattels real
located within the corporate limits of Crisfield, shall be
recorded by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Somerset
County among the Land Records of said County until the
property thereby conveyed has been transferred on the
assessment books in the office of the City Clerk of Crisfield.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

Approved May 17, 1935.

CHAPTER 392.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
234 of Article 1 of the Code of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Frostburg, "
as enacted by Chapter 652 of the Acts of 1910 of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, relating to the appointment
and bond required of the Tax Collector for said City.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That Section 234 of Arti-
cle 1 of the Code of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, as
enacted by Chapter 652 of the Acts of 1910, entitled AN
ACT to provide for a Tax Collector for the Town of Frost-
burg, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments to read as follows:

Section 234. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That it shall be the duty
of said Tax Collector to collect all taxes once every year,
all the water rents once every three months, and any other
assessments made by the Mayor and Councilmen of any
character whatsoever, and shall report to the Mayor and
Councilmen once every month of all money collected, and
turn the same over to the Treasurer of said Town. He
shall file a bond in the penal sum of Six Thousand
