by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 361.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments, " sub-title "F^raud—False Insignia, "
said new section to be known as Section 174A and to fol-
low immediately after Section 174 of said Article, pro-
hibiting the improper use of the insignia, uniform or
button of The American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign
Wars of the United States and the Disabled American
Veterans of the World War and United Spanish War
Veterans.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Fraud—
False Insignia, " said new section to be known as Section
174A, to follow immediately after Section 174 of said Ar-
ticle, and to read as follows:
174A. Any person who shall wilfully wear the insignia,
uniform or button of The American Legion, or the Vet-
erans of Foreign Wars of the United States, or the Dis-
abled American Veterans of the World War or the United
Spanish War Veterans, or the official decorations of said
organizations, or use the same to obtain aid or assistance
within this State, unless he or she shall be entitled to use
or wear the same under the constitution and by-laws, rules
and regulations of such organizations, shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more
than twenty-five ($25. 00) dollars, and in default of pay-
ment committed to jail for a period not to exceed thirty
days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
