before upon each property holder to be affected by the
passage of the proposed ordinance provided that said par-
ties are residents of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on the first day of June, 1935.

CHAPTER 345.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Town
Council of Colmar Manor, in Prince George's County, a
municipal corporation, to construct roadways, alleys,
curbs, sidewalks and gutters in said town; to borrow on
the credit of the town five thousand ($5, 000) dollars, and
to issue bonds or certificates of indebtedness therefor; to
provide for the liquidation of same and the interest
thereon by an annual front foot assessment on the
abutting real property in said town where such streets,
curbs, sidewalks and gutters are constructed; and to
make the principal and interest of said bonds or certifi-
cates of indebtedness the direct obligation of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Town Council of Colmar
Manor, in Prince George's County, a Municipal Corporation
be and they are hereby authorized to construct roadways,
alleys, curbs, sidewalks and gutters in the said town of
Colmar Manor, when, where and in the manner to be de-
termined by the Mayor and Town Council.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That to effectuate
the construction of roadways, alleys, curbs, sidewalks and
gutters mentioned in the preceding section, the Mayor and
Town Council of Colmar Manor, in Prince George's County,
are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on the
credit of the town five thousand ($5, 000) dollars and to
issue bonds or certificates of indebtedness therefor, which
shall be payable as hereinafter set forth, with interest not
to exceed the rate of six per centum, payable semi-annually,
January first and July first each year. The funds derived
from the sale of said bonds or certificates of indebtedness
shall be deposited by the Mayor and Town Council of Col-
mar Manor in some safe banking institution in the State
