and authorized to re-convey all the lands, premises and
rights of way granted unto them by the several following
deeds: (1) Deed from William B. S. Powell and Delia K.
Powell, his wife, et als, by deed dated January 20, 1933, and
recorded among the Land Records of Worcester County,
in Liber B. B. No. 17, Folio 504; (2) Deed from Delaware
Mortgage Investment Company, a Delaware Corporation,
by deed dated May 24, 1933, and recorded among the Land
Records of Worcester County, in Liber B. B. No. 17, Folio
509; (3) Deed from Ethan A. Carey and Addie B. Carey,
his wife, Savannah Carey, widow, Edward Lee Carey, un-
married, Elizabeth Carey Shockley, and C. Norwood Shock-
ley, her husband, and John Carey, widower, by deed dated
March 30, 1933, and recorded among the Land Records of
Worcester County, in Liber B. B. No. 17, Folio 521; to
grant and re-convey the said lands, premises and rights of
way unto the said several respective grantors in said deeds
and their respective heirs and assigns.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 344.
AN ACT to amend Article One of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title
"Frostburg, " by adding a new section thereto to follow
immediately after Section 249, as enacted by Chapter 14
of the Acts of 1922, of the General Assembly of Maryland,
the said new section to be designated 249-A, empowering
the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg to close two
alleys in the vicinity of the Frostburg State Normal
School Number Two (2), one of said alleys lying between
Park Avenue and Oak Street and the other alley running
from Oak Street to Park Avenue and to empower com-
missioners to be appointed by the Mayor and Councilmen
to award compensation to any person or persons owning
property on said alley which may be closed who may be
affected thereby.
