certificates of indebtedness, and interest thereon, issued f or
the cost and necessary expenses in the construction of side-
walks, curbs, gutters and roadbed and street improvements;
including the necessary expenses incident to carrying into
effect the provisions of this act; which certificates when
paid shall be cancelled and properly kept and filed among
the papers of said town, a record of which certificates thus
cancelled shall be entered upon a book kept for the purpose
aforesaid; and the Treasurer of said Town and the Clerk
of said Town, for the purposes of this Act, shall be bonded
in amount left to the discretion of the Mayor and Town
Council, but in no case in amount of less than two thousand
dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 325.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement), title "Li-
censes, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-heading "Fees
for Registration of Motor Vehicles, " said new section to
be known as Section 184C to follow immediately after
Section 184B, the same authorizing and directing the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to refuse any marker,
certificate of registration or title for any motor vehicle
owned in the City of Cambridge and East New Market
unless taxes in arrears thereon have been paid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Sup-
plement), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-
heading "Fees for Registration of Motor Vehicles, " said
new section to be known as Section 184C, to follow imme-
diately after Section 184B, and to read as follows:

184C. In addition to the provisions contained in Section
183, with reference to the requirement of the payment of
State and County taxes on motor vehicles, the Commis-
sioner of Motor Vehicles is hereby authorized and directed
to refuse to issue or transfer any plate or marker, certifi-
cate of registration or title, for any motor vehicles owned
by a resident of the City of Cambridge and East New Mar-
ket unless 'he is satisfied that all municipal taxes
due and in arrears on the motor vehicle described in
