police officer, and there be found no deficiency, the cost of
weighing shall be paid by the Clerk of the City of Salis-
bury.

15G. The provisions of this sub-division of this Article
shall not apply to the sale of coal or coke by the single
bushel, half-bushel or peck, nor to sales of coal or coke
by manifest weight in car or cargo lots. All penalties pro-
vided for in this sub-division of this Article when recov-
ered shall be paid to the Clerk of the City of Salisbury.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 312.

AN ACT to add seven new sections to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Health, " sub-title "Food Products, " said new sections
to be known as Sections 207A to 207G, inclusive, and to
follow immediately after Section 207 of said Article, de-
fining eggs inedible for human and animal food, prohibi-
ting the use of same therefor, and defining the method of
determining the same; requiring a license to use or trade
in broken-out eggs and to break out eggs; requiring de-
naturing of inedible broken-out eggs and labeling as
such; requiring invoice to be filed of shipment and sale of
inedible eggs; requiring inspection of imported inedible
eggs in the shell and broken-out eggs before use or sale;
providing how this Act shall be administered and en-
forced, and providing the penalties for violation thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That seven new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1924 Edition), title "Health, " sub-title "Food Products, "
said new sections to be known as Sections 207A to 207G,
inclusive, to follow immediately after Section 207 of said
Article, and to read as follows:
