CHAPTER 263.
AN ACT to repeal Section 23 of Article 93 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition 1924, title
"Testamentary Law, " sub-title "Administration, " and to
enact a new Section 23 of Article 93 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title "Testamentary Law, "
sub-title "Administration, " providing for equal represen-
tation of sex in the appointment of administrators.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 23 of Article 93 be and the same is
hereby repealed, and that a new Section 23 be added to
Article 93 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title "Administration, " to
read as follows:
23. There shall be no preference of males to females in
equal degree or kin in any of the sections covering the ap-
pointment of administrators, any words to the contrary
therein notwithstanding.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 264.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1
of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Workmen's Com-
pensation, " sub-title "State Industrial Accident Commis-
sion, " as the same was enacted by Chapter 800 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland 1914.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 1 of Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Workmen's Com-
pensation, " sub-title "State Industrial Accident Commis-
sion, " as the same was enacted by Chapter 800 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland 1914, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
so as to read as follows:
