CHAPTER 31.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County, " sub-title "Snow Hill, " to follow im-
mediately after Section 309 and to be known as Section
309A, to authorize Mayor and Council of Snow Hill to
acquire by purchase, or condemnation any land and prop-
erty or any interest therein which in the discretion of
said Mayor and Council of Snow Hill said municipality
may require for the establishment or enlargement of
markets, parks, squares, playgrounds, gardens or other
public places and also any and all land and property or
any interest therein adjoining such public places as may
be deemed necessary to effectuate the purposes of the
establishment and/or enlargement of such public places
and to sell such adjacent lands or property subject to
such regulations and restrictions as may be deemed ad-
visable for the protection to such public places or to en-
hance the usefulness thereof, and prescribing the pro-
cedure to be followed in the event such condemnation is
resorted to.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, " sub-title "Snow
Hill, " said new section to be known as Section 309A, and
to follow immediately after Section 309, and to read as
follows:

309A. In addition to and not in derogation of the powers
heretofore granted to and possessed by it, the Mayor and
Council of Snow Hill shall have power to acquire by pur-
chase or condemnation any land and property or any inter-
est therein which in the discretion of the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Snow Hill said Municipality may require for the estab-
lishment or enlargement of markets, parks, squares, play-
grounds, public reservations, gardens or other public
