this section shall only apply to the counties of St. Mary's,
Prince George's, Charles, Calvert and Worcester.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 131,

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 15 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Kent County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " said new
section to be known as Section 156A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 156 of said Article, to authorize,
empower and direct the County Treasurer for Kent
County to collect taxes levied by the Commissioners of
Betterton, Rock Hall and Chestertown upon motor
vehicles owned by residents of the Towns of Betterton,
Rock Hall and Chestertown, and to make applicable to
such taxes the rates of discounts and interest charges
presently in force or which may hereafter be provided
with reference to the collection of county taxes for said
Kent County, providing compensation, therefor, and pro-
viding for adjustments and releases by the Supervisor of
Assessments of Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Kent County, " sub-title "County
Treasurer, " said new section to be known as Section 156A,
to follow immediately after Section 156 of said Article,
and to read as follows:

156A. The County Treasurer of Kent County is hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to collect all taxes
levied by the Commissioners of Betterton, the Mayor and
Councilmen of Rock Hall, and the Mayor and Council of
Chestertown upon each and every motor vehicle owned by a
resident of the towns of Betterton, Rock Hall and
Chestertown, and it shall be the duty of the Commissioners
of Betterton, the Mayor and Councilmen of Rock Hall
and the Mayor and Council of Chestertown to assess
