Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000), during the term of two
years following the enactment of this amendment, on prom-
issory notes an additional sum of money not to exceed the
sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000) to meet and pay
the obligations of said County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 126.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
902 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, (1930 edition) title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "Silver Spring, " as the same was amended by
Chapter 160 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, session of 1933; so as to remove the limitation
of forty-three hundred dollars ($4, 300) upon the amount
to be raised by a special tax for the maintenance of the
Silver Spring Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., and to
define the area in which said annual levy for said pur-
pose is to be made, and the method of determining the
amount of said levy.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 902 of Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 edition), title "Mont-
gomery County, " sub-title "Silver Spring, " as the same
was amended by Chapter 160 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, session of 1933, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
902. That for the purpose of providing funds with
which to maintain, equip and operate a fire department in
Silver Spring, Montgomery County, the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County are hereby authorized and
empowered to levy annually against all the property as-
sessed for County tax purposes within that portion of the
Thirteenth Election District of said County the boundaries
of which coincide with the present boundaries of the Sec-
