mitted to be paid separate and apart from the payment of
all other taxes, and provided this section shall apply only
in case of taxes becoming due and in arrears under the
levy of 1935 and thereafter.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 100.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Talbot County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " said new
section to be known as Section 78A and to follow immedi-
ately after Section 78 of said Article, to authorize, em-
power and direct the County Treasurer for said Talbot
County to collect taxes levied by the Mayor and Council
of Easton and by the Commissioners of St. Michaels and
Oxford upon motor vehicles owned by residents of the
Towns of Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels, and to make
applicable to such taxes the rates of discounts and inter-
est charges presently in force or which may hereafter
be provided with reference to the Collection of County
Taxes for said Talbot County; to provide compensation
therefor and to further provide for adjustments and re-
leases by the Board of Transfers and Abatements of the
Mayor and Council of Easton and by the Commissioners
of St. Michaels and Oxford.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title "Coun-
ty Treasurer, " said new section to be known as Section
78A, to follow immediately after Section 78 of said Article
and to read as follows:

78A. The County Treasurer of Talbot County be and
he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to collect
all taxes levied. by the Mayor and Council of Easton and
by the Commissioners of St. Michaels and Oxford upon
each and every motor vehicle owned by a resident of the
Towns of Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels respectively,
