the respective amounts herein set forth ; after the

deductions, such remainder shall be expended by

the State Roads Commission for the elimination

of Grade Crossings in accordance with the provi-

sions of Chapter 327, 1927, or for the relocation of

roads that will eliminate grade crossings as may

01 MAINTENANCE AND RECONSTRUCTION— 2c

Gasoline Tax, and Commissioner of Motor

Vehicles :

To the State Roads Commission of Maryland 70%

of the receipts of the Commissioner of Motor Ve-

hicles derived from all sources except truck license

fees and franchise taxes, and 80% of the revenue

produced by fines and forfeitures through the

Traffic Courts and 70% of the original Two cent

(2) Gasoline Tax (less refund exemptions). From

100% of the income derived from the Commis-

sioner of Motor Vehicles (less truck license fees

and franchise taxes as herein provided) and from

100% of the income of the Traffic Courts, there

first are to be deducted the expenses of the Com-

missioner of Motor Vehicles and of the Traffic

Court, and from this net revenue there is to be

deducted one-half the cost of maintaining the

Gasoline Tax Department in the office of the

State Comptroller. There is then to be deducted

from this net revenue (exclusive of truck license

fees and franchise taxes), a sum representing that

proportion of the total Debt Service required dur-

ing the respective years applicable to Road and

Bridge Bonds of the State of Maryland, as the

total revenues derived from these sources after

the above deductions but before Debt Service deduc-

tions, bear to the net income produced by all

Gasoline Taxes together with net revenue pro-

duced by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles

(excluding truck license fees and franchise taxes).

The Comptroller of the Treasury and the Treas-

urer of Maryland shall accumulate the sum so re-

quired for Debt Service from this revenue by

deducting each month a ratable contribution based

on total monthly receipts, and shall retain the

amount so deducted for Debt Service in the Bond

Annuity Account of the State of Maryland, and

shall pay the amount so accumulated on account

of Debt Service obligations as and when this class

of obligation falls due during the fiscal years 1936-

1937. From the remainder of these net revenues
