twenty-four months from date of the levy, out of which
said notes are to be redeemed, otherwise, the Board of
County Commissioners of Caroline County are directed to
include a sufficient amount to redeem any and all "Tax An-
ticipation Notes" or renewals thereof that have been out-
standing twenty-four months or over in the next levy fol-
lowing such twenty-four month period, term or maturity.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 96.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section
106 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks", to permit
druggists to sell spirituous, fermented or intoxicating
liquors on prescription and medicinal preparations con-
taining alcohol.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 106 of Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating
Drinks", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:

106. It shall not be lawful for any licensee to sell spir-
ituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors, alcoholic bitters
or compounds to be issued in Worcester County after the
last day of April, 1908. Provided, however, that it shall
be lawful for druggists to sell spirituous, fermented or in-
toxicating liquors on prescription and medicinal prepara-
tions containing alcohol.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall be declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
