CHAPTER 84.

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County, " sub-title, "Liquor and Intoxi-
cating Drinks, " the said new sections to follow immedi-
ately after Section 390 of said Article and to be known
as Sections 390A, 390B and 390C, authorizing the hold-
ing of a referendum in all of the election districts of
Anne Arundel County, except the Sixth Election District,
with respect to the sale of alcoholic beverages in said
Districts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and the same are
hereby added to Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, "
sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks, " said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 390A, 390B and 390C to fol-
low immediately after Section 390 of said Article and to
read as follows:

390A. That at the next general election to be held in the
year 1934, there shall be submitted to the legal and quali-
fied voters of each of the separate election districts of Anne
Arundel County; except the Sixth Election District the fol-
lowing question, to wit: 1. Shall all alcoholic beverages
containing more than 14% of alcohol be permitted to be
sold in the............ Election District of Anne Arundel Coun-
ty for consumption on the premises where sold? 2. Shall
all alcoholic beverages containing more than 14% of alco-
hol be permitted to be sold in the............ Election District

of Anne Arundel County in sealed packages for consump-
tion off the premises where sold?

At the said election the vote upon the above questions
shall be by ballot and underneath the said questions there
shall be printed the words "For such Sale" and "Against
Such Sale, " and except as otherwise provided in this Act,
the said election shall be conducted and the results thereof
ascertained in accordance with the Constitution and laws of
this State relating to elections to the Senate and House of
Delegates.

390B. If it shall appear from the results of said elec-
tion that a majority of the^votes in any election district are
against the sale of alcoholic beverages in the manner indi-
cated by the questions submitted, no license for such sale
