In order that the prompt payment of interest on such
notes, certificates of indebtedness or bonds and the prompt
payment of said notes, certificates of indebtedness or bonds
as they shall mature, shall be assured, the prompt and
proper performance of the respective acts and duties here-
tofore defined is specifically enjoined, and any failure upon
the part of any person, persons, body corporate or agent,
to perform the necessary acts and duties in this Act set
forth and to pay over said funds as required, or the use of
said funds or any part thereof for any other purpose than
is required by this Act, is hereby declared a crime and,
upon indictment and conviction in the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel County, shall be punishable by a fine not ex-
ceeding one thousand dollars or imprisonment not exceed-
ing three years, or both, in the discretion of the Court.

522. The County Commissioners shall keep a separate
record of its proceedings as District Council for each Tax-
ing and Assessment District; shall deposit all money re-
ceived by it on account of each district to the credit of the
County Commissioners as District Council for such dis-
trict; shall require the depositary to give the same security
for the repayment of the money deposited and to pay the
same interest, as is now, or may hereafter be, required by
the laws relating to the deposit of county funds.

505A. All benefit charges and taxes assessed and levied
under this Act shall be collected by the Treasurer of Anne
Arundel County. The County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County shall annually cause to be stamped upon
the Treasurer's books opposite the properties of owners
listed therein which are subject to such benefit charges and
taxes, the annual benefit charges and the annual taxes
levied against said properties. For the purpose of making
such entries, the said Commissioners shall have free access
to said books for thirty days prior to the time when the
actual collection of taxes begins in said county. It shall not
be within the power of said Treasurer to remit, change or
amend said charges.

The Treasurer of Anne Arundel County shall cause to be
printed upon his tax bills for the portions of said county in
which the districts created by this Act are located, the fol-
lowing:

"To benefit charge for erosion prevention works $......... „„.....

To District Tax for erosion prevention works $..................
