SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency law and necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health and safety, and for maintenance
of the State Government and having passed by a yea and
nay vote by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 26.

AN ACT to reapportion the State tax for each of the years
1934 and 1935, between the various items making up
the aggregate rate of twenty-two cents (22c) heretofore
fixed by Chapter 213 of the Acts of 1933, (Regular Ses-
sion) .

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the State tax for each of the years 1934
and 1935, respectively, is hereby reapportioned between the
various items making: up the aggregate rate of twenty-two
cents (22c) heretofore fixed by Chapter 213 of the Acts of
1933, as follows:
