land, as receiver or otherwise, and shall be entitled to re-
ceive the same dividends from the proceeds of the assets of
such Maryland institution as would have been payable to
each such depositor until such dividends shall equal the in-
sured deposit liability to such depositor assumed by the
new bank, whereupon all further dividends shall be pay-
able to such depositor.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 17.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 75 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Pleadings,
Practice and Process at Law", sub-title "Removal of
Causes", said new section to be known as Section 110A
and to follow immediately after Section 110 of said
Article, providing for the preparation, inspection and
transmittal of the record in cases of presentments or in-
dictments for offenses which are or may be punishable
by death transmitted to some other Court having juris-
diction for trial under the provisions of Article 4, Sec-
tion 8 of the Constitution of Maryland, and Article 75,
Section 109 of the said Annotated Code.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 75 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Pleadings, Practice and Process at Law", sub-
title "Removal of Causes", said new section to be known as
Section 110A, to follow immediately after Section 110 of
said Article, and to read as follows:
110A. In all cases where a suggestion in writing under
oath of either of the parties to the proceeding is made in
any cases of presentments or indictments for offenses
which are or may be punishable by death pending in any
of the Courts of Law of this state that such party cannot
