tion for State's Attorney for attending the People's
Court of Wicomico County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland That Section 395 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Wicomico County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

395. The State's Attorney of said Wicomico County in
lieu of the fees heretofore received by him in any criminal
or misdemeanor case or cases heretofore received by him,
as provided by any local law for Wicomico County, or in
any general law of the State, shall receive a salary of Four-
teen Hundred Dollars per annum as full compensation for
his entire services in such cases as required of him by law,
or which may hereafter be required of him, the said salary
to be paid to him by the County Commissioners of Wicom-
ico County. In addition to the salary now received by the
State's Attorney, he shall be paid the further sum of Six
Hundred Dollars per year from and after January 1, 1936,
for his attendance before the People's Court of Wicomico
County, the said sum to be paid in equal quarterly instal-
ments on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st
in each and every year and the said County Commissioners
shall levy annually the said sum of Six Hundred Dollars
for this purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
